After each practice, we gather all of the laundry at Eifler Gym, then load that laundry into one of our Enterprise trucks. We drive it over to the laundry mat here on the post and off load all the dirty laundry into the laundry mat.
James Thomas, who oversees everything for us while we visit Fort Huachuca, contacts the manager of the laundry mat and lets them know approximately what time we will be doing laundry while we are here. Since we have to use all of the machines in order to get laundry done in a timely manner, it helps that the machines are not in use.
We bring $350 in quarters for our trip to Fort Huachuca. That will generally take care of all of the laundry. We bring detergents from McKale with us. We use 5 managers to do all the laundry. We have learned that if you bring more than 5 they just get in each others way.
Once the laundry is clean, we load it back onto the Enterprise truck and bring it back over to Eifler Gym. The whole process takes only 2-3 hours.
Below are some pictures from yesterdays laundry.
